Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear favorite looks

Spring time is coming but what about the seasons ahead? We need to already plan and imagine upcoming trends so let’s dream a little bit about colder days with sweaters and coats and sparkly boots…

New York

Fashion week starts at New York – the big center of fashion where style is defined by fashion brands like Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs, Badgley Mischka, Alexander Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors and others.

The most I liked Michael Kors and Marchesa collections. Michael Kors was about seduction and women strength. Collection showed ‘the bigger, the better’, I loved those big coats and fur looked so elegant and made all outfit strong. Chinese inspiration was noticeable in few Marchesa looks and dresses looked red carpet worthy. Little and big bows, fringe and romantic flower print embellishments were over the gowns and dresses with satin or velvet.

Badgley Mishka also showed elegant dresses and ordinary autumn looks like coats with fur scarfs and sneakers. Gorgeous and luxurious layered looks with patterns and different textures were showed by Anna Sui. Bright colors that appears richly with textured fabrics and also fur deatails and fur coats combined with velvet pants and skirt.

Jonathan Simkhai collection looked strong but with romantic touch. Old-Spain vibes appeared as cropped jackets with trousers that had fine details. Regal romance was showed in the modern way – off shoulder dresses, fur stole laying over one shoulder, lace and little embellishments and slightly falling satin. Absolutely loved this collection, clothes looked so fancy and wearable on big occasions (which refers to celebrities, not for me :D).

Milan

From New York to London, which I skipped because I didn’t have so much interest for London’s collections, so I jumped to Milan. Italian designers have a big role in fashion industry, from where comes the world’s biggest brands – Gucci, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Dolce&Gabbana, Prada, Roberto Cavalli

Dolce&Gabbana collections always stands out, I would say it’s the most regal and majestic brand, it shows resplendence from last centuries but in modern way. Using golden elements, lace, embellishments, glitter and prints in clothes with matched accessories make the all outfit look complete and magnificent. In this season’s show on the runway were many famous people, not only models, but also bloggers, millennials, members of European royal families, generations of music and acting and they all were showing clothes in different shapes and sizes. Couples, mothers and daughters, girlfriends, and even babies in arms.

Red boots gave a little spice to the usual fall shades at Fendi combined with oversized coats, blazers with fur details on the arms and fluttering dresses. These easy falling transparent dresses with boots over knee looked so elegant and perfect for fall season.

Max Mara showed one tone colored sets starting from bright red, camel, grey, beige and ending with black. Massive and fluffy coats, velvet pants and velvet blazers, long silk blazers, suits, sweaters and large bags – the whole collection looked maximal, no tiny details, large and free shapes in motion made the outfit alive and simply flawless.

Girly and rocking outfits with pleated skirt, leather elements and fine details were on Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. Small bows, emphasized waistline, embroidered and sheer blouses, cocktail dresses – everything looked so sweet though with an attitude.

But Versace showed the real attitude – there were messages like unity, courage, loyalty, love on beanie hats, scarves and t-shirts. Sexy slip dresses were noticeable as always on Versace collections, fur, coats and blazers. Dominant color black mixed with some bright colors like yellow, orange, blue, red and prints. A little splash of color in hair using hair extensions combined with bold cat eye makeup for rebellious effect made the collection amusing and rich. Versace got my heart, the whole collection was plentiful and amazing how the variety of materials and textures along with interesting shapes created the strong, sexy and extraordinary image of woman.

Paris

Fashion week ends in Paris – the city of romance and chic where you can find so much love for so many things like food, fashion, art, design and architecture. The most fashion designers who’s brands are based in Paris are not Parisians but they are creating glamorous and incredibly beautiful and amazing clothes like Chanel, Christian Dior, Elie Saab, Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Givenchy, Celine and others.

Balmain has this super attractive and fascinating style that presents every collection featuring strong and sexy looks, new and interesting details and shapes, variety of textures and materials. In this season Balmain got inspiration from Ancient Egypt – golden lips, dark eyes, leather and animal prints, suede and fur and all combined in one bright look. Color palette changed from browns to dark chocolate brown and black.

Parisian style is great showed by Giambattista Valli, sophisticated but clear, elegant and ethereal in slightly shapes. There were a lot of fine lace, ruffles, small bows, light flower patterns, dresses with collars, mostly white color but also red and black.

What about chic and glow with a little fierce? Redemption shined with v-neck dresses, glitters and tuxedo’s. Also Saint Laurent showed some chic party outfits mixed with men inspired forms, strong shouldered blazers and dresses. Sparkles got attention in these collections even sparkly boots you could notice.

Elie Saab is my favorite from brands who have dreamy gowns like you can become princess in real life if you are wearing one of those so beautiful dresses. Elie Saab were a dark romance, black, plum purple, electric blue and some pastel pink while runway was also themed dark. This season’s collection had gorgeous dresses and jumpsuits like always with lace, velvet, fur, organza and leather boots. Loved all those richly sophisticated looks, I just admire this beauty!

Summary

After seeing mentioned ‘Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear’ collections and some others I wouldn’t miss like Chanel, Christian Dior, Gucci, I could say – there were plenty of sparkles, velvet, lace and fur. Romantic, sexy and strong attitude styles as the feminism hits fashion industry and designers are messaging about it and trying to create some fresh but also inspired clothes from another centuries or times.

Hope you feel inspired and liked what I had to say about ‘Fall 2017 Ready-to-Wear’ season. For me it was hard to choose which look I liked most and which was more representative from whole collection because some were really adorable.
